REGULAR MEETING OF THE CHIPPEWA TOWNSHIP BOARD
December 7, 2015
Supervisor Smith called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

PREVIOUS MINUTES
Motion by Huber, supported Quakenbush, to approve the minutes of Nov. 3, 2015.
Motion carried.
TREASURER'S REPORT
Motion by Ash, supported by Huber, to approve the treasurer's report of Dec. 7, 2015 balance of $2,130,311.00 and overall balance $2,673.621.77.
Roll call vote: Yes: Huber, Smith, Quakenbush, Ash, Gill; No: None.
Motion unanimously carried.

NEW BUSINESS
ZONING ADMINISTRATOR TIM BEBEE
ZA Bebee gave his report.
2016 MEETING SCHEDULE
Motion by Ash, supported by Gill, to approve the 2016 meeting schedule.
Motion carried.
2016 MEETING PER DIEMS/MILEAGE
Motion by Ash, supported by Quakenbush, to approve per diem and mileage for the Board to attend Council of Government meetings, local MTA meetings, Road Commission meetings, Treasurer meetings with County, Clerk meetings with County and elections.
Roll call vote—Yes: Huber, Smith, Quakenbush, Gill, Ash; No: None.
Motion unanimously carried.
PC AND ZBA MEMBER EXPIRATIONS
ZA Bebee stated that he was contacted by a couple of residents interested in being on
a commission. He will give them Supervisor's contact information.
Motion by Smith, supported by Quakenbush, to table appointments so the Supervisor can
get in touch with those that are about to expire to see if they still want to be on the PC.
Motion carried.
BUDGET AMENDMENTS
Motion by Huber, supported by Quakenbush, to approve the following budget amendments:
Supervisor office expense: $20.00, Election wages: $3500.00, Fire protection operating
expense: $600.00, PC office expense $100.00.

TOWNSHIP SHARE FIRE PROTECTION BUDGET
Motion by Huber, supported by Ash, to pay $59,572.90 for Chippewa Township’s share of the fire department’s budget.
Roll call vote; Yes: Ash, Gill, Smith, Huber, Quakenbush; No: None.
Motion unanimously carried.
PAY THE BILLS
Motion by Quakenbush, supported by Ash, to pay the bills.
Roll call vote—Yes: Huber, Quakenbush, Ash, Smith, Gill; No: None.

HUBER
Trustee and ZBA member Huber stated that the ZBA would like to have a couple of training sessions. ZA Bebee stated that he can check with the City of Mt Pleasant’s Planner to see if he would be willing to do the training. He will bring information to the next meeting.
Motion by Ash, supported by Gill, to have the City Planner do ZBA training sessions at the township hall.
