Supervisor Smith called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Motion by Quakenbush, supported Huber, to approve the minutes of April 6, 2015.
Motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT
Motion by Ash, supported by Huber, to approve the treasurer’s report of May 5, 2015, balance of $2,015,436.38 and overall balance of $2,557,018.07.

NEW BUSINESS
ZONING ADMINISTRATOR TIM BEBEE
Bebee was not in attendance. Quakenbush stated that the maps have been sent to Crescent Consulting for revisions. Planning Commission is looking into zoning ordinances definitions.
NEW COMPUTER FOR ZONING ADMINISTRATOR
Motion by Gill, supported by Quakenbush, to purchase a HP ZBook computer not to exceed $2400.00 for the Zoning Administrator.
Roll call vote—Yes: Huber, Smith, Gill, Ash, Quakenbush.
Motion unanimously carried.
Clerk Ash stated there is no budget line item for zoning computer and software.
Motion by Ash, supported by Quakenbush, to create budget line item Zoning Computer
and Software 101-805-970-000 and amend budget for that line item by $2400.00.

MMDC
Cathy Methner and Rick Barz from Middle Michigan Development Corporation explained the services that they can provide to the township. One of the many services they can provide is the writing of grants.
Motion by Smith, supported by Gill, to a three year contract at $5000.00 per year with MMDC. Roll call vote—Yes: Ash, Quakenbush, Huber, Smith, Gill; No: none.
Motion unanimously carried.
ROADS
Motion by Ash, supported by Huber, to crack seal Summerton Rd. from Remus to Pickard at a cost of $1451.13. Union Township is sharing 50% of the cost.

Motion unanimously carried.
Motion by Huber, supported by Quakenbush, to crack seal Broadway Rd. from Summerton to Leaton, Loomis Rd from Remus to Pickard, Remus Rd. from Loomis to Wise, Wise Rd. from Deerfield to Broomfield, Wise Rd from Millbrook to Deerfield, Wise Rd from Remus to Pickard and Wise Rd from Broomfield to Remus at a cost of $49,898.44. Gravel Wing Rd. from Loomis to Chippewa, Genuine Rd from Remus south (.5 mile only) and Vroman from River north to end at a cost of $83,057.04.
