2026 MOSQUITO CONTROL PROGRAM

PUBLIC NOTICE

APM Mosquito Control has been your township mosquito contractor since 2012. The Chippewa Township mosquito abatement program includes standing water treatments, disease testing, residential special event service requests, and nighttime ULV truck spraying. Truck spraying will begin mid-late May and continue as needed into September. Kontrol 4-4 (4.6% Permethrin) will be applied at nighttime at label rates via ULV truck-mounted sprayers, targeting active adult mosquito populations. Applications can only take place under the following conditions: temperatures must be at or above 55 degrees, winds must be at or below 10 mph, and it cannot be raining at the time of application. All materials utilized are approved by both the EPA and the Michigan Department of Agriculture for mosquito control operations.
